Wildland Firefighting

Incident Qualification

Incident Qualification Class

The need for Wildland Firefighters continues to be high. Whether you are looking for a job as a seasonal firefighter or looking to make this a career, securing your Incident Qualification card is a great first step.

The mandatory field day is held in Mount Vernon, WA.

Our intensive Incident Qualification course is designed to prepare students for Wildland Firefighting. It includes online class support for the 5 online required courses.

To complete the blended S130 class, the student will attend one (1) 8-hour field day with direct instruction on Wildland firefighting skills and survival. Industry professionals, DNR, and Forest Service will assist in field day operations.

This Incident Qualification Course with Fire Tech Academy will set the stage for you to be best prepared for your future career as a wildland firefighter.

Helping You Succeed

FIRE Tech Academy is approved by the Washington State Department of Health, the Central Region Trauma and EMS Council, and the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT).

Every class is taught by a firefighter/EMT or paramedic. These firefighters use stories of medical calls they went on the shift before to add real-world context to academic topics.

Benefits of being a FIRE Tech alumni include follow through and advice in moving onto the next level. As a member of the FIRE Tech family, we do our best to help you succeed and move forward in future endeavors beyond this class.
